Winter Universiade 2019 comes to a close

The epic University Winter Games have come to a close, with just over 2,500 athletes competing in an exciting array of sports! The games were held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, welcoming people to ‘#RealWinter’ which was the event hashtag for the year. The 11-day event included 11 sports. Including, Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Biathlon, Bandy, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Short Track Speed Skating, Ski Orienteering and Snowboard. From the battle between Russia and Canada in the Women’s Ice Hockey, to Japan’s Ikuma Horishima taking out the gold in the Dual Moguls, there’s been a whole heap of amazing moments during this year’s games.
